From Kuala Lumpur to Rabat — and everywhere in between — Hashing is a global movement of mischief, madness, and trail mix (beer and flour).
🌍 What is the Hash House Harriers?

“Hare and Hounds” – the Victorian-era running game that inspired Hashing, illustrated in Harper’s Weekly, 1874.

Albert Stephen Ignatius Gispert — founder of the Hash House Harriers in 1938, Kuala Lumpur.

The original “Hash House” — the Selangor Club in Kuala Lumpur, where the first hashes were organized.
The Hash began in 1938 in Kuala Lumpur when a group of Brits decided to mix running with post-run beer and irreverent tradition. The concept? Follow a trail, get some exercise, and enjoy a “down-down” with your friends. Simple, silly, and brilliant.
Today, there are over 2,000 active kennels in more than 180 countries. No two Hashes are exactly alike — but the spirit is the same: run, laugh, drink, repeat.
✈️ RH3 & the Global Hash Family
Rabat Hash House Harriers has welcomed hashers from all corners of the globe — and RH3 members have run trails across continents. We’ve attended interhashes, hosted foreign kennels, and even hashed on the road in Europe, Asia, and beyond.
Once you’re a hasher, you’re part of a worldwide tribe. Show up to any hash, say "I'm from RH3", and you’ll likely get a beer, a trail, and a place to crash (maybe).
